The Platypus Teen Leadership Council’s third and final Platypus issue of the season is, “Sound Thoughts for Healthy Living”. This issue will bring together a variety of ideas related to healthy living, ranging from healthy relationships and decisions to healthy eating habits to physical, emotional and mental health to spiritual health. Our goal is for each submission to explore to some aspect of a healthy lifestyle. TLC feels this issue has potential to be humorous and emotional, while appealing to youth and adults alike.
To promote youth/adult conversation, we are accepting submissions from adults in our community. If you would like to submit an article, story, poem or original (black and white) art, send your submission (no more than 1 page in length) to: sheila_dana@hotmail.com. Please attach the submission as a word document or jpg (art) and make sure it has a title and by line. Deadline for submissions is March 20, 2009. All submissions must be suitable for a teen-age audience. TLC team members will review and choose a variety of youth and adult writers and artists for be featured in this final issue of the school year. Direct questions to Sheila @ sheila_dana@hotmail.com.
